In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in the context of our activities.
The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. If you enter personal data, e.g. for the purpose of contacting us or subscribing to a newsletter, we will pass on the necessary information to companies that process data on our behalf (e.g. send the newsletter). We only commission companies that are subject to the GDPR.
Encrypted data transfer
This website uses SSL encryption in order to ensure safety and privacy. This prevents third parties from intercepting or reading data you entered on our website during transmission. You can confirm the active encryption by checking the lock symbol or similar icons in the address bar of your browser.
Contact us
If you contact us using the form on the website, by e-mail, or by any other means, we store the data provided (name, e-mail address, phone number, and the contents of your inquiry) in order to process your request and prepare for follow-up questions. For the contact form on our website, we use the Kadence Blocks plugin. Since our website is hosted on a rented server in Germany, the data entered via the form remains in our own administration area and is not passed on to the plugin manufacturer or other third parties.
The data processing is based on Art 6 para 1b (pre-contractual measures or contract fulfillment) and Art 6 para 1f (legitimate interests) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the efficient answering and documentation of customer inquiries. We store the data provided for one year, provided no contractual relationship arises. In case you book a tour following your inquiry, the data will be stored for 7 years according to statutory retention periods (especially tax law). We will not share this data without your consent.

You may subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your e-mail address and your consent to receive the newsletter. As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your registration. The data processing is therefore based on § 96 para 3 TKG and Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) of the GDPR.
You can cancel the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to newsletter@talesandtoursvienna.com or use the corresponding link at the end of the newsletter. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch.
The newsletter is sent by “Brevo”, a brand of Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Your e-mail address, the date of your registration, and the IP address used are stored on Brevo’s servers in Germany. Brevo uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Brevo also uses the data to optimize its own service, but will not pass it on or contact the subscribers themselves. For statistical evaluation purposes, the sent newsletters contain tracking pixels or redirected links, which help us determine if you have read our newsletter and which device type you used. We have signed a data processing agreement with Brevo. Since data processing takes place within the EU, a level of protection in accordance with the GDPR is guaranteed. Brevo’s Privacy Policy can be found here.
